Nike and Tottenham Hotspur have extended their current partnership by signing a new deal that will see the Swoosh continue be the club's official kit supplier right up until 2033. The new 15 year deal is one of the longest football club deals in Nike’s history.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy announced the news as part of his stadium update this week, but as of yet official details of the new deal are sparse. The extension comes on the back of the initial multi-year agreement signed by the two parties in the summer of 2017 – which at the time was reportedly worth £30m a year to the club.

With Levy being one of the most shrewd negotiators in the game you can bet that the new deal is worth a bit more than that, especially when you consider that Chelsea are picking up a cool £60m-a-season from Nike and Arsenal's imminent deal with adidas reportedly worth around the same. Money aside, it's the length of the commitment that's most impressive.

Nike are keen to increase their London grasp, and tying themselves to a club that are on the up with a brand new stadium to come is a solid way of maintaining a strong presence in the capital. It's likely that the deal will have checkpoints where it can be reviewed in terms of figures, and they'll no doubt be deeper connections between Nike's NFL interests in Tottenham's new stadium.
