At the Parc des Princes, no one is king. Instead you write your story with pain, determination and work. That is the focus of a new mini-documentary titled “Petits Princes” that focuses on three outstanding young PSG talents, stripping back the layers and diving into what it takes to make it from street level.
In "Petits Princes" the spotlight falls upon Timothy Weah, Moussa Diaby and Yacine Adli – the “Parisian titis” – and the @Yard production looks at where the three exciting individuals came from and what it took for them to establish themselves not only within the Paris Saint-Germain squad, but within Paris itself.
The three protagonists are all from very different backgrounds, but they share the same dreams, sacrifices and ambition to play at a the very top of the professional level. All three backed by Nike to trailblaze their way into the big time and in turn making their own respective journeys into legacies that inspire a next generation.
Carrying that famous name and all the burdens that come with it, Timothy Weah is Brooklyn born and Paris raised. He knows the sacrifices that have to be made to achieve his goals, but he is not merely focused on football, seeing it as a means to other ends.
Next up, Yacine Adli, a midfielder of Algerian descent, explains how for him the battle was in establishing himself amongst his peers, playing football in his small Parisian suburb and showing that above all else, his will and determination to succeed was greater than the rest.
And finally, for Moussa Diaby, born and raised in Paris, the journey is all about graft and commitment, knowing that his hard work will reap the rewards that he has dreamed of since childhood.
