Paulo Dybala is the jewel in the crown of a new generation for adidas Football. A dynamic attacker dancing his way through defences to the top of the adidas table as the lead face of the COPA 19 collection. The Three Stripes followed him earlier this season as he launched the COPA in between two high profile Champions League games.
Starring in a documentary titled 'Behind the Mask', Dybala gives an insight into his life between matches, how he deals with fame, as well as discussing his favourite moments in his career so far. The purpose of the film is built from Dybala's iconic 'Gladiator' celebration of which adidas picked up on to create a bespoke mask to mark his COPA initiation.
Speaking about the mask celebration Dybala explained; "It's not just a goal celebration, it has a message. To always keep moving forward, whatever happens. In order to fight, you have to wear a mask – like gladiators do."
The film shows Dybala as a chilled and humble chap enjoying every moment of his success so far. No egos, no demands, just a hard working attitude backed by sublime ability with a level head. Playing leading roles for club, country and brand, Dybala is embracing his status as one of the world's most most creative footballers.
