Continuing its impressive recruitment drive into 2019, PUMA have announced the signing of Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak on a long term deal. PUMA continues to fill its family with players from every position on the pitch as part of a big recruitment drive that ramped up at the end of 2018. And it's showing no signs of stopping, with the news that they've captured one of the best keepers in the world.

The Slovenian stopper has establish himself as one of the world’s leading goalkeepers, being voted the La Liga’s best three times in a row. He achieved 100 career clean sheets in 178 games and since his transfer to Atletico Madrid in 2014, he has kept more clean sheets (79) than any other goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues. Impressive stuff.

Oblak was seen wearing blackout boots and gloves at the tail end of 2018, leading to speculation that his contract with Nike may be coming to an end, a fact that has now been confirmed. He joins Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Dejan Lovren and Luis Suarez as new additions to the PUMA family, while other big names continue to be linked. No way this is the last big name to join PUMA.
