Barcelona’s World Cup winning French defender, Samuel Umtiti has become the latest recruit to join the PUMA ranks, as the Big Cat’s expansion continues at pace.

Since the beginning of the 18/19 season PUMA have been making massive moves in the world of football, signing players such as Suarez, Lukaku, Silva, and Oblak to name but a few. Yesterday, news broke that they have agreed a ten year deal with the City Football Group Clubs, ensuring that for the next decade they will be providing kits to Manchester City, Melbourne City FC, Girona FC, Club Atlético Torque and Sichuan Jiuniu FC. And to follow that up, they’ve now announced the capture of World Cup winner, Samuel Umtiti.

Umtiti has been spotted playing in some custom blacked out Future’s recently, leading to speculation that his contract with Nike was up, so this announcement doesn’t come as the biggest surprise. Sure enough, Umtiti will wear the Future silo as opposed to the ONE, and from now on he doesn’t have to take his felt tip pen to it…

Don't expect PUMA's recruitment drive to end here either, with numerous other players being linked and rumours of more teams set to sign kit deals with them. Shaping up to be a busy old 2019 for the Big Cat.
