Valencia CF has become the latest team to join the impressive line-up at PUMA, signing a long-term agreement with the brand that starts in 2019-20, taking over from adidas, who has been the club’s kit supplier for the last five years.
Starting with the 2019-20 season, PUMA will become the official Technical Sponsor of Valencia CF. The Spanish side joins the impressive roster of PUMA football partners, including some of the world’s top clubs such as AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Olympique de Marseille, Palmeiras, Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) and, of course, the entire City Football Group, which includes Manchester City.
"We are proud to be the new partner of Valencia CF, a club with a great tradition that has some of the most passionate fans,” said Johan Adamsson, Director of Sports Marketing & Sports Licensing at PUMA. “We are excited to work with the club to deliver premium performance products and support the club in their vision for the future.”
It’s not the first time Valencia have worn PUMA kits, as they used to wear them between 1990 and 1993. But this deal comes at a time when PUMA are once again pushing to be one of, if not the biggest brands in world football. And PUMA’s influence continues to grow in Spain, with the recent news that it has agreed a deal with La Liga to be the official match ball supplier from next season on.
