Boyhood Chelsea fan and Grime Artist Capo Lee has linked up with the club to drop a remix of his "Style & Swag" track. Chelsea players N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham all make cameo appearances in the video as grime and football continue to mix in the same circles.
Dropped on the eve of Chelsea's first game of the 2019/20 season against Manchester United which featured anything but style and swag, the track is remixed to shout-out a number of Chelsea stars including Cesar Azpilicueta which is impressive, even if you're not all that into grime, isn't it? Capo Lee dons the ultra-sleek Chelsea away shirt as he brings his own drip to the Stamford Bridge mix.
Grime and football continues to link up with successful collaborations. The big PR moves were arguably kicked off by Stormzy when Paul Pogba signed for Manchester United, but the rise of Dave and AJ Tracey amongst a number of other influential artists have projected football onto the grime scene and vice versa. Chelsea follow Sheffield United with an exclusive grime track for the new season after the Blades linked up with Toddla T and Sheffield-born MC, Coco.
