Amazon Originals continue their ‘All or Nothing’ docu-series, and this time the focus shifts to North London, with the cameras given unprecedented access behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur for the 2019/20 season – the first full campaign inside the club's brand new stadium.
The recent spate of docu-series that have hit our screens, charting the journey of football teams through a season, have been something of a mixed bag, with only Manchester City’s 2017/18 campaign enjoying any actual success. But that has not deterred Tottenham, who have announced that they have signed a deal with Amazon to have the current campaign documented.
The ‘All or Nothing’ docu-series is produced in collaboration with NFL Films, and with Tottenham’s well known link with the NFL this is a logical move from a business sense. ‘All or Nothing’ has featured the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, the New Zealand All Blacks and, most recently, Manchester City’s successful 2017/18 campaign.
Georgia Brown, Director of European Originals, Amazon Studios, said: “We are delighted to be embarking on this journey with Tottenham Hotspur and delivering another extraordinary look at one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League. All or Nothing has become a franchise defined by true quality and unprecedented access, and that will be no different with this series. We can’t wait for Prime members worldwide to again experience the highs and lows of a world-class team in the greatest football league on earth.”
We already know that the first few months of All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur will make for interesting viewing, with rumbles of discontent from within the dressing room leading to the team struggling on the pitch, punctuated by their elimination from the League Cup at the hands of Colchester before being smashed by Bayern Munich in the group stages of the Champions League. Whether this series gets to the real meat of what has happened to last season’s Champions League finalists in the early parts of this season only time will tell.
All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur will launch during the second half of next year following the conclusion of the current campaign and will be available to view exclusively on Amazon Prime.
