Daily Paper Host Special Football Tournament In Ghana

Amsterdam-based fashion label Daily Paper have their roots firmly fixed in African culture, and as a continuation of the work they do in their homeland, they headed back to Accra, Ghana, to host a special football tournament at the football facility that they helped build back in 2017.

Following on from the launch event of their collaboration with PUMA back in 2017, which saw Daily Paper opening a brand new football facility in Accra, Ghana, the brand’s founders, Hussein Suleiman, Abderrahmane Trabsini and Jefferson Osei recently headed back to the same football facility to host a tournament that united the local creative community.

Daily Paper invited their extended friends and family to participate in the tournament, kitting out the six teams involved in their own custom made football shirts designed by Daily Paper. Rounding up some of the best African creatives and athletes, the line-up of teams saw La Meme Gang, Free the Youth, Starboy, Eunice Beckmann and Melanin Unscripted joining the Daily Paper crew. A spokesperson for the fashion label said “Giving back to the continent that inspired us to create our label has always been a dream for us”.
