As February draws to a close we take a look back on the hottest drops of the month, with strong boot launches from Nike, adidas and PUMA, while Kappa revealed some of the drippiest retro threads for a trio of its teams. Here’s what caught our eye…
1 | Nike Mercurial 'Dream Speed 2' – Nike launched the second drop from their new Mercurial 'Dream Speed' series, bringing a blast of vibrancy to the latest interpretation of speed. Already seen on the feet of both Mbappe and Ronaldo, the Dream Speed 2 features design inspirations taken from the iconic Mercurial Vapor III, while the transition of colours represents the various frequencies of light. 2 | adidas Predator 20.1 Mutator Low – Dropping after the initial Predator Mutator launch, this was the first low cut Predator since 2014, bringing with it the perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation, and it was everything you wanted. Get it here.
3 | Nike Phantom VSN II "White/Black/Laser Crimson" – Nike offered up a third colourway for the first next-gen boot of the year, presenting the Phantom VSN II in a clean wrap, unique to the silo and not affiliated to any pack. Available here.
4 | adidas Predator 20+ Mutator 'Shadow Beast' – Following the limited edition pre-launch release adidas officially dropped its all black next generation Predator 20+ Mutator 'Shadow Beast' edition as the silo's second look, stripping all colour to complete the Shadow Beast pack, which had launched at the beginning of the year. 5 | PUMA Eclipse Pack – Another dose of darkness, this time coming courtesy of PUMA who drained the colour from the ONE 5.1 and Future 5.1 to provide an understated alternative to the brighter 'Spark Pack'. Take your pick between the ONE and Future here.
6 | Mizuno 'Victory Gold' Pack – Nowt much more decadent than a splash of gold, and that's the approach Mizuno took for the latest colour up for the Morelia II, Morelia Neo II, and Rebula 3. The 'Victor Gold' pack continued the Japanese brand's relationship with the premium metal colouring, which started back in 2015. Shop the collection here.
7 | Lotto Solista 100 III Gravity "Diva Blue/White/Skydiver Blue" – Presenting a second look for its latest laceless option, Lotto launched the Solista 100 III Gravity in a “Diva Blue/White/Skydiver Blue” colourway that harked back to the first time that the Italian brand lost the lace, way back in 2006. 8 | Nike React Gato – The incredibly popular Lunar Gato took a next step on the evolutionary trail as Nike released the React Gato; a futsal-focused specialist which saw Nike React foam brought into the game for the first time. In store here.
9 | PSG x Jordan Women's Collection – Paris Saint-Germain and Jordan brand progressed their incredibly successful collaboration on to another level this month by releasing a six-piece women's-specific collection, which was made up of statement PSG x Jordan products, including a dress, jacket, fleece hoodie, fleece pants, tights and a short sleeve tee. 10 | Kappa Monaco Kombat XX Collection – The first of three Kombat XX collections launched this month by Kappa, the Monaco collection marked the 20th anniversary of the original Kombat jersey that the club wore in their 1999/00 league winning campaign. While the anniversary shirt itself was the headliner, it was accompanied by a full lifestyle collection that boasted two-tone collars, embroidered logos, and the iconic and the timeless Kappa banda. 11 | Kappa Real Betis Kombat XX Collection – Part two of three saw Kappa providing Real Betis with the same treatment as Monaco, with a collection that was infused with the most delicious of retro vibes. If green is more your thing, head here to take your pick.
12 | Kappa Aston Villa Kombat XX Collection – Topping off the trio, Kappa finally turned their attention to their Premier League contingent, Aston Villa. A case of more of the same, with more shapes of yesteryear, this time wrapped in that famous claret and blue combination, once again providing a slice of throwback football in the most nostalgic of dressings. 13 | adidas MLS 2020 EQT Jerseys – adidas and the MLS revealed the new EQT jerseys for the upcoming season at Forward25 – a special event hosted in New York as part of the league's 25th anniversary. Shop the pick of the lot here.
14 | adidas Flamengo 2020 Home Shirt – The new Flamengo shirt followed in the same hand-painted design format that has been seen on the new Euro kits from adidas, with the famous horizontal black and red hoops widened with sublimated wording featuring throughout the red bands once again. 15 | PUMA Influence Pack II – PUMA presented two more additions to the 'Influence Pack' roster, with the introduction of shirts for Marrakech and Havana joining new 'away' strips for the four original cities. Wild alternative lifestyle designs that give a new lease to the jersey culture scene. Check them all out here.
16 | adidas Bayern Munich 120th Anniversary Shirt – Bayern Munich are celebrating their 120th anniversary by launching a special edition kit with adidas that the team will wear in their home fixture against Bavarian rivals Augsburg on 8 March. Retro charm meets clinical styling, and you can get it here.
17 | adidas UltraBoost PB – adidas chose this month to launch the UltraBoost PB trainer, a featherlight version of the regular UltraBoost 20, and they did so in four colourways, all of which you can cop here.
18 | adidas UltraBoost 20 "Black/Marble" – Taking the most simplistic of black and white combinations, adidas introduced a marble print and splattered midsole on to the iconic UltraBoost 20 silhouette, providing yet another look that can transition into lifestyle circles. 19 | Nike Premier League 19/20 Tunnel Vision Match Ball – For the first time ever Nike have released a new ball for the Premier League run in, and it's in use on pitch now and will remain so until the end of the season. Get your here.
20 | adidas UCL 2020 'Finale Istanbul' Match Ball – On the day the knockout stages commenced adidas revealed the 'Finale Istanbul', which landed as the official match ball for the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League knockout stages, featuring a design that drew inspiration from the city that will host the final – Istanbul.
