PSG Are Next Team To Get An Amazon Docu-Series

Paris Saint-Germain appear to be the latest football team to go in front of the lens for a new docu-series with Amazon Prime, following in the footsteps of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, and Borussia Dortmund.

PSG are never ones to shirk an opportunity to promote their brand, so the only surprise regarding the news that they are set to be the focus of a new Amazon Prime documentary is that it’s taken them this long. The latest in a line of Amazon original documentaries about top sports clubs and individuals, the four-part PSG-centric series is set to include interviews with previous and current players, coaches, supporters and executives from the club. It also features footage from inside the day-to-day life of the club and how it prepares for its matches.

Reports back in January suggested that the documentary would be a Netflix venture, and that it would focus solely on Neymar. Whether that's still a thing or not is unclear (we have visions of an Amazon v Netflix battle as they argue over camera time with the Brazilian star) but we certainly hope so. Jointly produced by PSG TV and CAPA and directed by Manuel Herrero, the docuseries will launch this year on Amazon Prime Video globally, except in China and Middle East.

The untitled docu-series will have exclusive footage captured during the current season and over the last 50 years and promises a level of access never granted by the club before.

Time to renew that Amazon Prime membership from December...
