Arriving as something of an early Christmas present, and in response to popular demand, we have now made the whole season one archive of The Dial Up available on Spotify and Apple podcasts. That’s 21 episodes featuring the likes of Weston McKennie, Frank Lampard, Bruno Fernandes, Lucy Bronze, Sam Kerr, Virgil Van Dijk, Ian Wright, Alphonso Davies and many more, all for your listening pleasure this festive period and beyond.
The Dial Up is our recurring series that was originally born out of the necessity that the Coronavirus pandemic and the on-set of the “new normal” forced upon us. Adapting to the circumstances, we started to check in with the male and female stars of the global game to see how they were coping with life in lockdown. And as football slowly returned and players got back into action on the pitches and our screens across the globe, The Dial Up evolved to become a candid insight into the actual characters behind the public faces that we’re all so familiar with.
Lifting the lid on the personal side of the superstars we watch week in, week out, the Dial Up has become a place for players both past and present to sit and chat in a comfortable, safe environment – quite literally in fact, with most chatting to us from the comfort of their own couches.
So whether you’re keen to hear more about a player’s back story from their own mouth or you just want to hear them speaking in their own environment, away from the limelight and the media-trained responses that we often see, check out the full Dial Up series one archive. Previously it was only available on IGTV, but it's now available for your listening pleasure on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
The full list of guests includes Todd Cantwell, Caitlin Foord, Mal Pugh, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, DeAndre Yedlin, Ashlyn Harris. Rob Holding, Abby Dahlkemper, Gini Wijnaldum, Mason Holgate, Bruno Fernandes, Vivianne Miedema, Ben Chilwell, Alphonso Davies, Ian Wright, Virgil Van Dijk, Lucy Bronze, Sam Kerr, Jack Harrison, Frank Lampard and Weston McKennie, and all episodes are available to listen to now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
