PSG Sign Two-Year Deal With Dior

Paris Saint-Germain and the house of Dior have signed a two-year partnership that will see the high-end fashion label supplying the official wardrobe for the Parisian club. The move marks the first time that Dior has partnered with a sports club.

The world’s of fashion and football have never been so closely linked, and one of the driving forces behind this crossing of cultures is undoubtedly Paris Saint-Germain, whose radical marketing approaches and collaborations have carved a new path into football culture. Now they open the door to one of the most renowned fashion houses in the world, with the announcement that they are set to partner with Dior.

To mark this unique collaboration, Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Dior men's collections, has designed a series of new creations for the next two seasons. Spanning casual and formal moods, this elegant wardrobe combines black and navy-blue shades – in tones specially designed for the Paris Saint-Germain team. The casual look is notably composed of a Harrington jacket, a knitted sweater and a polo shirt, all finished with an embroidered “Paris Saint-Germain” patch and the “CD Icon” initials, as well as the Dior Explorer derbies in black leather, punctuated by the iconic Dior Oblique motif.

The formal outfit pairs a cashmere coat, a jacket, a shirt and pants, and a pair of black leather Dior Timeless derbies*. The pieces are enhanced by other subtle details, reflecting Dior’s exceptional savoir-faire.

Symbols of refinement, the emblematic Saddle bag in black grained calfskin, a jacquard tie adorned with a matching "Paris Saint-Germain" logo, a cashmere scarf as well as a reversible – black and navy-blue – belt also complete the looks.

The move follows Armani's official foray into the world of football, with its EA7 offshoot taking things one step further by producing the 21/22 kits for Napoli. Could this be a route that Dior travels down in the future? Wouldn't count it out, and also wouldn't count out PSG's involvement if it does happen.
