Kylian Mbappe Faces Latest Hublot Campaign

If you’re a global brand looking for someone to encapsulate your latest campaign, titled ‘One word: excellence’, you could do a lot worse than having French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappé as your focal point. Lucky then that the PSG man is already an Ambassador for Hublot, who just so happen to have a campaign by that very name…

Mbappé did his absolute best to show his prospective new employers just how good he was recently, almost single-handedly dragging his current side, PSG through to the UCL quarter finals. But Real Madrid proved a step too far even for him and his excellence, and so the Ligue 1 outfit once again face up to falling short of their dream. Does this mean Mbappé’s time with them is up? Quite probably. But speaking of time (see what we did there??) The young French striker has stepped up his duties as ambassador for Swiss watchmaker, Hublot by fronting a new campaign for the brand.

For the latest Hublot advertising campaign, multidisciplinary creative director Ezra Petronio captured “the player's excellence, applying an uncompromising, timeless yet contemporary aesthetic that eschews ostentation.” Basically just made him look suave as hell in the latest timepieces from the brand then.

Speaking about the campaign, Mbappé said: “It was an honour to work on this project, to address the relationship we have with time. I love simplicity, and the beauty of lasting things that have soul.

Petronio added: “What I love more than anything when creating a portrait is to capture that spark that is unique to each one of us – whatever that may be. And to evoke emotion in the viewer so that nothing can distract the gaze from the essence of the subject.
“What fascinates me about Kylian – apart from his creativity, virtuosity and the perfection of his art – is his passion, his intelligence and the inner strength that drives him.”

Mbappé was wearing the Hublot’s flagship model, the Big Bang Unico, which you can pick up here.
