PSG Feminines Players Are Displayed At Parc Des Princes For IWD2022

PSG Feminines prepare to take on Bayern Munich in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final at the end of March, and ahead of the tie and in celebration of International Women’s Day, the PSG players have taken over the Parc des Princes.

In case you missed it, today is International Women’s Day, celebrating the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women across the globe. In recognition of their women’s team in the build-up to their huge Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, the club have erected 11 giant portraits of the players on the railings at the Parc des Princes, on Rue du Commandant Guilbauld, linking up with the Wall of PSG legends painted by the graffiti artist Estim.

The portraits, each with a red background, were taken by the photographer Joseph Degbadjo with the assistance of Elisa Parron as artistic director. The two artists are regulars at the stadium and have helped forged Paris Saint-Germain’s image over the years by taking many series of photos for the club.

The promotion of the women’s team at the Parc des Princes forms part of the #MarchforEquality campaign implemented by the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, which will raise awareness of gender equality in March through its various programmes, such as Allez Les Filles, Allez Les Femmes, Red & Blue Schools, and the charity canteen.

On 9 March, the club’s current and former female players will come together for a day of events at the Parc des Princes, where they will be joined by the beneficiaries of the Foundation’s programmes and will take part in a conference on the journey taken by the women’s team since its creation.
