As part of their training camp at the brand’s Global Headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, Arsenal players got to venture inside the adidas Archives, where they were able to check out historic kits and boots.
Along with the hard work in preparation for the coming campaign, it looks like Arsenal have found a little bit of downtime in which they’ve been able to open the adidas Archives – a place that features some of the brand’s greatest and most iconic creations from their years of operating. Mikel Arteta's men are staying at the world-class facility as they ramp up their pre-season preparations, culminating in a game against FC Nurnberg on Friday.
The archive is home to an incredible exhibition of products, including boots worn in the 1954 World Cup final between West Germany and Hungary, Zinedine Zidane’s 2006 World Cup boots, as well as several cult adidas Arsenal shirts from down the years.
The players were even given the honour of being able to handle these unique objects, including David Beckham’s Predator Precision.
The tour saw them learn the storied history of adidas with products displayed from each decade, starting from the formation under Adi Dassler in the late 1940s, through to the current day.
