Spotify & Barcelona Bring Players & Musicians Together To Celebrate Partnership

Celebrating their new first-of-its-kind partnership, Spotify and Barcelona welcomed popular Latin artists together with players and legends as the Club kicked off their much-anticipated U.S. summer tour.

Back in March, Barcelona announced that they had reached an agreement for Spotify to become the Main Partner of the Club and their Official Audio Streaming Partner. Now, celebrating the start of the new partnership, the Swedish audio streaming and media services provider arranged for a range of popular Latin artists to attend an after training session, rubbing shoulders and having a kick about with some of the Catalan club’s star players.

It was all smiles and camaraderie as artists Ovy on The Drums, Piso 21 and Mau y Ricky shook hands, took photos and played the beautiful game with Club players, such as Ronald Araújo and Ferran Torres, while Sergio Aguero was also in attendance. The players and artists were also joined by football legend Thierry Henry who’s taking part in Barca’s U.S. tour as part of his role in the Legends team.

The gathering was one of the first times that players wore their new training kits with the Spotify logo — artists also wore the new shirts which were personalised with their names.

Barcelona are preparing for their first preseason match, which will be against Inter Miami later this week.
