In what is surely set to be one of the last big additions to the FIFA franchise as we know it, EA Sports has revealed an overview of features for its FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 update.
As we lap up every last minute of FIFA action before its replaced by EA SPORTS FC next season, we’ve got something new to look forward to. The 2023 Women’s World in Australia and New Zealand gets underway in exactly a month, but you won’t have to wait that long to experience the drama and competition, following news that EA SPORTS is set to include the tournament on FIFA 23 from the end of June as a free update to the game.
Options for gameplay will include the standard play options to play through the full competition with the single player Tournament Mode, or choose to pick up and play locally against friends or AI in Kick Off, but they are set to be joined by the all-new Lead Your Country mode. This option allows you to step into the boots of one specific player leading their nation to glory. Choose between a real player poised to take the tournament by storm or create your own custom Avatar in the national team of your choice to write yourself into FIFA Women’s World Cup™ history. As you play through the stages, you’ll have the option to control just that player or the whole national team as you lead your country all the way to the trophy.
These game modes contribute to the most immersive EA SPORTS FIFA Women’s World Cup experience ever, complete with each of the 32 qualified nations, custom stadium dressings, cinematics, match presentations, dedicated commentary, and of course, the authentic trophy to hoist at the end.
The EA SPORTS FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 mode will be available to play from the end of June as a free update to the game.
