Jude Bellingham’s star keeps rising both on and off the pitch, and reports are now suggesting that the Real Madrid midfielder and Golden Boy is set to sign a multi-million pound endorsement deal with Louis Vuitton.
It seems that everything Jude Bellingham touches at the moment turns to gold; since his move to Real Madrid in the summer the England midfielder has progressed both in terms of performances and profile, with his exploits on the pitch being accompanied by appearances at high profile events such as Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Menswear show at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. And now that link to the French luxury fashion house is set to take an even greater step, with reports suggesting that Bellingham is in line to sign a multi-million pound endorsement deal with Louis Vuitton.
As well as his appearance at the PFW show, Bellingham was also wearing a full LV suit as he was awarded the Kopa Trophy at this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, further displaying his appreciation for the brand – a feeling that appears to be quite mutual. The 20-year-old currently only has a sponsorship deal with adidas, for whom he is rapidly solidifying his position as the face of the iconic Predator franchise, a point emphasised when he received a specially customised version of the boot from the brand.
Nothing has been signed yet between LV and the player, but there’s no smoke without fire, and Bellingham would be joining an increasing number of players that have made the crossover into the fashion world recently, including Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, who signed a seven-figure deal with Gucci last year, while the likes of Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling, Son Heung-Min and Bukayo Saka have all featured in Burberry campaigns over the last few years.
LV has an impressive track record of working with some of the best footballers of all-time, producing past campaigns with teh likes of Pele, Diego Maradona and Zinedine Zidane, while Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s chess-based advertising campaign before last year’s World Cup has taken on iconic status.
