Jordan Brand are reportedly eyeing a London-based Premier League club to add to their roster, putting Nike-sponsored club’s Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the frame for the Jumpman treatment.
It’s no secret that, following five years of huge success, the exclusivity of PSG’s deal with Jordan ended at the conclusion of the 21/22 season. But despite that, the brand more regularly associated with basketball hasn’t made any moves to associate themselves with any other club. Now though, following the reveal of PSG’s latest collaborative kit, reports are circulating that Jordan could be looking to work with a London-based club in the near future.
The Premier League is the most watched football league in the world, and so it stands to reason that it is here that Jordan would be looking when it comes to branching out. Jordan are a subsidiary of Nike, and the Swoosh currently supplies kits to four Premier League clubs (Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Brighton). Of those four, only Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are based in London, and so it looks as if one of them is most likely to receive the Jumpman treatment.
The unprecedented collaboration between PSG and Jordan has become one of the premium drops on the calendar, elevating in status with every passing campaign. What started as an all-out hype event has fast become a well accepted and expected presentation of pure fire, crossing cultures seamlessly as it brings two separate worlds together.
