A few days ago, Gotham FC unveiled their 2023 Championship ring from Jostens following their 1-1 draw with Kansas City, and here we get a closer look at the design.
On the weekend, Gotham FC took on Kansas City, and on a night of celebration NJ/NY Gotham FC commemorated winning the 2023 NWSL championship with a pre-game banner unveiling and a post-game ring ceremony. And it’s the ring that really caught attention; it’s something that’s quite common in the US sporting scene, and with soccer’s increasing popularity it’s naturally carrying across, as the women of Gotham FC were quick to show off.
Gotham FC won the 2023 NWSL Championship after defeating Seattle Reign 2-1 on 11 November at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. In honor of the 2023 Championship, the first in club history, the squad were out in force with their Championship rings. Created by Jostens, an American manufacturer of memorabilia, the bespoke ring featured a sovereign-style design with the club crest playing a prominent role, bordered by the words “2023 NWSL Champions”. On one side is the word “Gotham FC”, along with 11/11 – the date the championship was secured – split by a representation of the trophy itself. On the other side, each ring is personalized with the player name and shirt number. Finally, on the inside are the words “Walk with me, win with me”. Suitable bling styled for the achievement.
Gotham FC are next in action this weekend, away at Washington Spirit.
