Euro 2028 is coming to the UK and the stage has been set. A lineup of nine stadiums that capture the full heartbeat of British football culture have been named to host one of the biggest tournaments in football. So, here they are…
Wembley/London
The home of English football. You knew this one had to be in here. With a capacity of 90,000 it is by far the biggest stadium in the UK and was a no-brainer to host the tournament. And yes, the final will be played here. We are hoping that the 2028 final plays out a little differently to the one in 2020 though...
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium/London
We've gone from history to modern architecture with this one. A work of art. Spurs have built themselves one of the best stadiums in the Premier League and it would of been criminal to not let fans enjoy it during the Euros. State of the art facilities that you won't find anywhere else. And let's not forget about the beer tap that fills up from the bottom... See you there.
National Stadium Of Wales/Cardiff
Moving from England to Wales now as Cardiff are the host city for Cymru. Easily the best stadium in the country and its had its fair share of iconic moments there. No, i'm not talking about Taylor Swift's Eras tour.
Villa Park/Birmingham
The tournament is travelling into the midlands to take place at Aston Villa's prideful home. This is what we'd call a classic Premier League stadium. So much history held between the walls. Any football fans has to appreciate the beauty of this place.
Dublin Arena/Dublin
We are taking a short trip over sees to Ireland where the Dublin Arena is hosting a select few games. We've got to say, this stadium is pretty special. Anyone can appreciate this beautiful bit of architecture. Unique design and a decent capacity. Can't ask for much more than that.
Etihad/Manchester
With Old Trafford already set to undergo renovation in the next few years, Euro 2028 is heading to the blue side of Manchester to hold games at the Etihad. This stadium has seen plenty of trophies in recent years, we all know that, so it's only right that it is one of the host stadiums for one of the biggest tournaments in football.
Hill Dickinson Stadium/Liverpool
The newest stadium in England makes it onto the roster for Euro 2028, and rightly so. Everton have left Goodison Park in their rearview mirror and life at the Hill Dickinson has started pretty well. A brand-new stadium right on the water? Perfect.
St James' Park/Newcastle
The home of the Toon. The stadium is iconic in itself, and the fans that fill it every week are just as good. On the right day you can hear the roar from here all the way in Bournemouth. Good luck to those at the top of the Leazus stand, absolute nose bleed territory, but worth every penny. This is a proper stadium.
Hampden Park/Glasgow
Last but definitely not least, we head to Scotland. The home of the Scottish National team. If you don't know much about this stadium, well get to know. Hosted six European Finals here. That's right, Real Madrid have played right here. If it's good enough for them, well, it's good enough for anyone. Bit of an away day from London to get up here, but the views are worth it.
