During last weekend’s UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, Heineken turned one of the Puskás Aréna’s loneliest seats into one of the most memorable places in the stadium.

As part of its ongoing Fans Have More Friends platform, the brand invited competition winner Forest Robinson to attend the Final solo, through a partnership with football creator The Padded Seat.

What Forest didn’t know was that their ticket would place them in one of the stadium’s most isolated spots: a single seat with no neighbours on either side. But the lonely matchday moment didn’t last long.

Shortly after taking their place, Forest was joined by UEFA Champions League legend Xavi Hernández, who revealed a hidden second seat built into the original setup.

From there, the night quickly escalated, with Forest and Xavi heading into Heineken’s Skybox to watch the match alongside fellow fans and football icons, before going pitchside post-match as Paris Saint-Germain lifted the trophy.

“As a player, some of my best memories in football came from sharing big moments with teammates and fans,” said Xavi. “It was special to help Heineken turn Forest’s seat into an experience they will never forget.”

For all the fanfare, glitz and glamour that surrounds an occasion like the Champions League, Heineken’s activation served as a simple reminder of football’s strange little magic: even when you arrive alone, the game rarely lets you stay that way for long. Bravo!
