Pro:Direct and Nike’s House of Merc World Cup pop-up opens its doors this weekend, a dedicated football space, built around Nike’s Mercurial universe and the wider culture surrounding the game.

The pop-up – which was officially unveiled earlier this week – is situated inside one of New York’s most iconic football-meets-sneaker addresses, 21 Mercer Street, the former home of the famed NikeLab.

Timed ahead of this summer’s tournament, the space comes wrapped in archival Nike Football graphics, setting the tone for what is set to become a major destination for fans, players and collectors throughout the World Cup period.

More than just a retail moment, House of Merc is also designed as a living hub for Nike’s football world in New York, with a packed schedule of programming, product moments and community-led activations rolling out across the next two months.

With Nike already building serious momentum around its World Cup offering, from federation kits to boots and culture-focused collaborations, House of Merc feels like another marker in the brand’s wider takeover of the tournament – one that puts football, sneakers and the city firmly in the same conversation.
