Germany Away 2010 - adidas Football Shirt
The DFB and adidas have presented the new away kit of the German national team, to be worn at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The design of the new Germany away kit is inspired by the very first appearance of a German national soccer team on 12th December 1898. When on their first outing the German team were victorious wearing black jerseys, recording a 7-0 win against the White Rovers Club in Paris. The design of the new kit is a black shirt with gold stripes, a red V-neck and red piping, with a total of eleven lines adorning the jersey, to symbolise the eleven players and the spirit of the team.
On the 2010 Germany away shirt, the DFB golden eagle emblem with the federal government is on a black ground, with three golden stars representing the years of German World Cup title successes in 1954, 1974 and 1990. And highlighted on the neck of the jersey are the "German Football Association" words in a classic golden script.
In addition to the unique design, the new Germany football jersey incorporates the newest technologies to respond to the individual wearer. The shirt will be released in two different versions; there will be the adidas TechFit Powerweb jersey, which is cut skin-tight to ensure better blood flow to the muscles needed, and there is also the classic version which will be equipped with the proven ClimaCool technology.
The new adidas 2010 Germany away football shirt will be worn for the first time against Argentina, when the teams meet for a friendly in Munich on 3rd March, which will also be the date the shirt goes on sale.
