USA Home 2010 Nike Football Shirt

SoccerBible has exclusive images of the new USA Home 2010/12 Nike Football Shirt. The brand new USA Home Football Jersey has a great design with a diagonal stripe adorning the front, and will be worn by star players Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey as they take to the pitch in South Africa this summer for the World Cup.

The Nike USA Soccer Kit has been designed to keep players drier, cooler and more comfortable, allowing them to maintain an optimum body temperature and perform at their best on the pitch. We love the new design, because it also represents the pride that comes with playing for the United States, and their heritage and unique football culture.

The diagonal stripe is an important feature, as it references the US National Team Jersey of the 1950 World Cup team. The team which famously caused an upset by defeating England 1-0, in a game that has since become known as the 'miracle on grass', and is perhaps a good omen for the opening match against England!

On the inside of the USA Home Football Shirt, on the reverse of the team badge near the heart, is Nike's 'Inner Pride graphic'. The inspirational crest and graphic (pictured below) reads "Don't Tread On Me", and has been designed by US based graphic artist Micah Lidberg. The Nike USA World Cup Soccer Jersey inspires national culture and identity within the American players and fans, who can show their support from 30th April when the shirt goes on sale.
