England Home Shirt - Limited Edition Umbro Shirt
As we enter an international break, Umbro have revealed a limited edition version of the new England Home shirt and an accompanying Umbro Anthem Jacket - both featuring a unique and distinctive look. Check them out now right here on the SoccerBible!
The new England shirt has been with us just over a month, but now Umbro have revealed these special edition versions of the new England home kit which emphasises the pattern created by iconic designer Peter Saville.
We'll be honest - we're not quite sure what to make of these at SoccerBible HQ, and opinion is certainly divided over this particular shirt.
The shirt features a full body pattern comprising of a series of tiny St George s Crosses in red, blue, green and purple. Nothing has changed from the form of shirt itself as it features the same distinct tailoring and attention to detail as the new England home shirt, which Umbro are increasing their reputation with as each new shirt is released (the recent England, Manchester City and New York Cosmos shirts spring to mind)
Umbro have also revealed a special version of their popular England Anthem jacket. In a crisp white, the Anthem Jacket follows the same style and Saville s colourful cross pattern all over the jacket.
The same design principles as the existing 2010 Anthem Jacket that the England players have already worn for their Euro 2012 qualifying games, so at least you can be reassured that the quality of the jacket hasn't changed. Umbro suggest this is a jacket for those of you who want to stand out, and we certainly agree with this point!
Both the limited England home shirt and the limited edition England Anthem Jacket go on sale from October 12th, the same day England take on Montenegro at Wembley in a 2012 European Championships qualifier.
