Ajax Amsterdam Home Kit 2011-2012 - adidas Football Shirt

Ajax Amsterdam and adidas have unveiled the new Ajax home shirt for the 2011/12 football season! With such an iconic look, the challenge is to design a classy shirt that stays true to the club's tradition. Here's a close-up look at the Dutch champions new home strip.

The new Ajax home kit 2011/12 features the traditional look, but enhanced with a few subtle details calling out the club's success and heritage. Following a record 30th Eredivisie title, adidas and Ajax have placed three gold stars above the badge indicative of the club's record haul.

The club s new home shirt features a red body with white sides, and red sleeve hems with a folded red and white collar. This classic white jersey with red stripe is a design dating back to the 1911, when Ajax were first promoted to the top flight of Dutch football. And as a testament to this, the new Ajax home jersey features four historical badges on the back below the neckline, whilst embossed onto the sleeve are the words 'wij zijn Ajax' which translates as 'we are Ajax'.

On the field, the players  will have the option to incorporate adidas  cutting edge TechFit technology for the new 11/12 adidas Ajax home shirt, to help improve speed, increase endurance capabilities and enhance awareness. This works by stabilizing and focusing the muscles  energy to generate explosive acceleration and deliver maximum power output.

The new Ajax home football shirt also features adidas ClimaCool technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin in the key heat zones.

The new 11/12 Ajax home kit is expected to be available from the end of June, and with such a traditional look should expect a positive reaction from the fans.
