International Kit Spotting

International Kit Spotting

During this week's round of international matches we saw a whole host of brand new football shirts debuted, so here's out look at some of the best! Take a look and share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

Roberto Soldado (Spain)

Scott Parker (England)

Soldado was called up to the national team ahead of Fernando Torres, who must now be slightly worried after seeing Soldado score a hat-trick in the new away shirt in Spain's 5-0 victory over Venezuala.

Scott Parker led England for the first time wearing the new home shirt. It's a new era in English football after Capello's departure, and though Umbro might not have meant it, their new shirt is a symbol of this new dawn.

Andrea Pirlo (Italy)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden)

Quite a different look for the Italians who debuted their new away shirt against the United States. Unfortunately, Italians can be very superstitious footballers so it might not be a good omen they lost 1-0 against the USA.

A great result for Sweden who defeated Croatia 3-1 away from home, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring the first goal. And due to their unique national colours Sweden were able to debut their new home strip.

Ronaldinho (Brazil)

Simon Cox (Ireland)

Ronaldinho returned to the starting line-up of the Brazilian national team after a lengthy absense, a side which didn't include such major stars as Kaka and Robinho. Brazil were debuting a new national shirt as they played and beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-1.

Simon Cox was the hero after sooring a late equaliser against the Czech Republic for a 1-1 draw in Ireland. Despite being the home team, it was an opporunity for Ireland to debut their new away football kit.

Arjen Robben (Holland)

Clint Dempsey (USA)

Arjen Robben was the man of the match as his two goals gunned down a new-look England. Robben was wearing the sharp looking new Holland away shirt, and ws in lethal form at Wembley.

Not for the first time Clint Dempsey was the American hero, ashis solitary goal in the 55th minute was enough to earn the United States victory in Italy. Dempsey was sporting the new USA away shirt, with a v-neck collar and white sleeves.

Milan Baros (Czech Republic)

Lucas Neill (Australia)

Milan Baros was the goalscorer as teh Czech Republic recorded a 1-1 draw in Ireland. It's a unique new kit from Puma, which is almost a combination of the Dutch and Croatian shirts.

Whilst most nations were involved in international friendlies, Australia are already playing World Cup 2014 qualifying matches, and were 3-1 winners over Saudi Arabia wearing their new away strip.

Cacau (Germany)

Luka Modric (Croatia)

It was a surprise defeat for Germany who were beaten 2-1 at home by France, with Cacau scoring Germany's late consolation goal. It's a return to a classic collar for the German national away shirt,a s they wear a simple 3-stripe green shirt.

A subtle use of the traditional checkered pattern for the new Croatia away shirt, as sported here by Luka Modric. Unfortunately, it wasn't the most impressive debut for the new kit as they were defeated at home by Sweden.

Olivier Giroud (France)

Tony Lochhead (New Zealand)

Giroud netted the first goal for France wearing their classy new France away kit. Stylish in white with striped trim and navy shorts, France defeated Germany 2-1 and are looking like quite a good prospect for the Euro's.

Ironically nicknamed the All Whites, the New Zealand football team debuted their new all black away kit as they were defeated by Jamaica in an entertaining game that ended 3-2.
