"This Is Jersey Week" - adidas MLS

Ahead of this weekend's First Kick and the start of the 2013 MLS season, adidas have declared this week as 'Jersey Week' to showcase their latest MLS jersey offerings. Here we show a selection of ten designs, so let us know what you think.

As the profile and following of US soccer continues to increase, teams are looking to create more of a unique identity. The days of rolling out an adidas teamwear jersey featuring the respective club crest are gone, adidas are now tailoring the kits to give each team a stronger identity.

Using key icons from the MLS, the jerseys featured here are; New York Red Bulls, Montreal Impact, Houston Dynamo, Colorado Rapids, Vancouver Whitecaps, Seattle Sounders, LA Galaxy, Toronto, Sporting Kansas City and Philadelphia Union (in the order they appear on page).

The key players used to model the gear in a variety of celebratory poses include; Connor Lade, Andrew Wenger, Will Bruin, Tony Cascio, Darren Mattocks, Steve Zakuani, Omar Gonzalez, Ashtone Morgan, Teal Bunbury and Jack McInerney. Making up just a handful of players, because increasingly the MLS is gathering an all-star cast with the likes of Arne Friedrich, Robbie Keane, Landon Donovan, Alessandro Nesta, Tim Cahill, Matteo Ferrari and Thierry Henry all joining the league.

There are a variety of new looks and design features on show, with almost every shirt incorporating some bespoke design feature; such as on the main body of the Colorado Rapids and Toronto shirts. Whilst there's also different tailoring, with the New York Red Bulls and Montreal Impact going for a more fitted look. Admittedly the LA Galaxy 2013 home shirt is the same as 2012, but there's an update for their Away kit.

The 2013 MLS adidas soccer jersey's have been launched as a continuation of the 'all in' campaign. "all in" is about showing your passion for your sport, on the field of play, on the street and through style. To symbolise the various elements, adidas have created these graphics showing the players in the new jersey's, but interwoven with streams of fans, fabrics, iconic imagery and dates.

Let us know what you think of the new adidas MLS jerseys and are you looking forward to the First Kick?
