Nike have unveiled their debut AS Roma home shirt to kick off the first partnership between the Serie A giants and the Swoosh.
The new typically sharp design is rooted in the glorious history of the club with the body in Roma red of course and a drop-needle tonal stripe featuring throughout. For us it's all about that polo neck collar with the dash of yellow hiding underneath. Keep it down for an understated look or flick it up to offer a stylish Italian flourish.
Deep yellow cuffs finish off the outside of the jersey and inside the back of the neck is a yellow textured pennant tab with the statement: “La Roma Non Si Discute Si Ama,” (‘Roma is loved without question’), the famous motto that has always defined the Roma fans’ sense of belonging to their team.
Roma is a club with great history and its sights set firmly on the future and Nike have echoed that as James Pallotta, President of AS Roma points out; "The new kit marks the start of an exciting new partnership for Nike and AS Roma. The jersey exemplifies our goal of combining tradition with innovation. I'm confident that our fans will be proud of this jersey."
