We've stuck the Tottenham Hotspur 14/15 home shirt through the SB studio to take a closer look at the detailing on the new design from Under Armour.
Under Armour used club legend Bill Nicholson's famous quote as inspiration for the jersey. The quote is 'It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory' and it's the 'echo of glory' line which is weaved into the pattern on the shoulders of the shirt.
The aforementioned patterned jacquard on the shoulders is inspired by the famed Bill Nicholson gates which lead up to White Hart Lane on Bill Nicholson Way and although barely noticeable from a distance packs a subtle design and deep story on closer inspection. Under Armour have introduced also touch more yellow in comparison to previous seasons with taping on the sleeve cuff and collar.
