Werder Bremen have unveiled their new Nike kits for the 2014/15 season. A classic Werder Bremen home kit and bold new away design, capture the club's spirit and philosophy "Lebenslang Grün Weiss" (Green and white for life).
The new 2014/15 home shirt has a classic green body with a white ribbed collar and high cuffs. The polo neck collar has a long placket and features two buttons with an orange thread, a colour traditionally an important to Werder said to represent their power, energy and positive approach. On the back of the shirt below the collar are the club’s initials SVW, standing for Sportverein Werder Bremen, or Sports Club Werder Bremen.
The new away shirt is a bit more off piste, combining Werder’s traditional green with a bold new design consisting of four black stripes over top a tonal gray chevron graphic. Werder’s famous green home colours are represented in both the crew neck collar and cuffs, which also boast an orange trim. On the back of the shirt below the collar are the club’s extended initials SVW.
