Juventus kick off their long term relationship with adidas today by unveiling the first chapter in their history together. Playing on the tradition of the club adidas reveal two familiar 2015/16 home and away designs which both feature their own touches of identity.
The first set of kits in a deal that currently runs up until 2021 sees the new Juventus home jersey unsurprisingly follow the famous black and white stripes design but with jagged edges creating integration between the colours. The black hem at the bottom of the jersey displays a tonal graphic print featuring the J letter, the club symbol, and some details evoking the unique exterior design of the Juventus Stadium. The three adidas black stripes are placed on white inserts on the sleeves to underline the bond with the brand.
The away kit is a stunner. Since 1897, the year of the club foundation, until 1903 Juventus wore pink jerseys creating a kit that has become iconic and an integral part of the club's history. adidas have reinterpreted tradition by combining pale pink with brighter pink applications on the sleeves and on the front to create a beautiful mix of authenticity and modernity.
