The World Champions leave their blood-stained, success-drenched 2014 suit at a Brazilian dry cleaners to arrive at Euro 2016 in a fresh uniform stitched with a favourites tag for France next summer.
Stripping things back adidas have produced a typically clean white jersey with black shorts and socks. That's the short version anyway. Dig a little deeper and a "success bar code" adorns the front of the shirt to represent the titles and successes at previous World and European Championships. On the sleeves, the years of these famous victories are shown.
For the first time, the famous adidas three stripes on the jersey are not on the sleeves, but rather shown on the side and this is a theme that runs across all adidas Euro 2016 nations. Black, red & gold details decorate the seam to complete an understated but elegant design for the Germans. The new kit will get a taste of action on Friday 13th November, when Germany take on host nation France in Paris.
