Having been kitted out with a dapper new home strip by adidas it's now up to Sweden to decide whether they want to wear it in France next summer or spend the month crying into it at home on the sofa.
Denmark stand in the way of Sweden and a place at Euro 2016 and Zlatan's men will be head-to-toe in the new design when they face their old rivals this Saturday in the first leg at Friends Arena. Ibrahimovic describes the new shirt as "powerful and different" although he may have mis-heard the question and described himself. The more interesting point is how Zlatan is giving quotes to adidas considering his contract expiration with Nike.
Unsurprisingly the new home shirt is yellow with three blue stripes along the side of the body. The inspiration behind the design comes from adidas jerseys that Sweden played in during the early 90s, something that can be seen in the jerseys minimalistic make-up with the horizontal stripes in two discretely shifting shades of yellow running along the front.
