A modern day sleeping giant? AC Milan will be hoping this is the season they can muscle their way back into the mix of Europe's elite with a strong season in Serie A. The gold that features on their new 2016/17 away strip isn't as deserved as it once was, but could act as the inspiration for success once more.
For the upcoming campaign, adidas have created a simplistic design for the red half of the city to wear on their travels. An all white jersey with subtle pin-striping and flashes of gold with a classic polo neck collar. White shorts and socks with gold accents complete the clean look for the Italian giants.
AC Milan will wear their new away and 2016/17 home shirt for the first time in their pre-season tour of America when they face Bayern Munich on July 28 in Chicago before taking on Premier League duo Liverpool in California and Chelsea in Minnesota. Not a bad pre-season tour, fly to America, get some game time, flog a few shirts, come home and start mixing it up at the top of Serie A. That's the plan.
