Adidas complete the Manchester United 2016/17 replica collection with a clean third strip for the Red Devils to wear on the road this season. Starting with the club’s first away game of the season against Bournemouth on Sunday 14th August.
Manchester United take inspiration from the club’s early years as Newton Heath LYR for the design of their new third shirt – a theme running through all three United strips this season. The white kit with black accents takes inspiration from the City of Manchester’s Coat of Arms which features a worker bee, a symbol of the city’s history as a leading-light at the forefront of the UK’s industrial heritage.
United away and third shirts of yesteryear are no strangers to the all white design and the 2016/17 strip is another minimal vibe, finished off with a black trim on the collar and sleeves with matching three stripes running down the side.
