Nike and Paris Saint-Germain have revealed their away colours for the upcoming 2016/17 season. It's an all red vibe for the Ligue 1 champions as they head into a Zlatan-less new era.
As much as the new PSG away strip is smart, and it really is, it's a beaut, but... this whole recycling EURO 2016 templates is becoming slightly tedious. Pretty much every Nike elite club has the same shirt but different colours. Granted, there are nods to heritage and history in the collar or colour scheme but we don't half miss the days of proper bespoke kits. It's no doubt a strategic move to give Nike more visual ownership of their clubs but, for the average football fan it can start to look a little, well, lazy.
Having said that, we'll go back to our first point. It's a cracking looking shirt when you ignore all over Nike strips this season. “Paris” is knit into the back collar, while “Grandeur” and ““Passion” adorn the inside right and left cuffs, respectively. Similar to the England shirt with "Three" and "Lions" on the cuffs.
