PUMA Launch Italy 16/17 Away Kit

If the World Cup and European Championships were awarded on style then Italy would clean up, every damn time. PUMA elegantly deliver time and time again when it comes to the Italian football shirts and the new away strip for the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign is typically magnifico.

The new white away strip will make its debut in Thursday's friendly with France at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari, and it's the city of Bari where the shirt was launched thanks to the work of internationally renowned street artists Joe & Max. The creative duo have painted a large 3D effect mural depicting Marco Verratti, Buffon and Chiellini wearing the new away kit, in Piazza del Ferrarese for fans and locals to admire in the days surrounding the game.

After losing out on penalties in the Euro 2016 Quarter Final to Germany, Italy have brushed themselves down, dressed up in a new look, with a new manager, and are aiming for fresh start towards the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The white jersey features a flash of Italian blue on the v-neck collar and a classy carbon fiber effect under the mesh neck, down the back, on the sleeves and cuffs that fold at the waist. It's all very World Cup 2006, and on the tenth anniversary of that victory in Berlin, it simply makes sense. That central badge, we kinda like it.
