Eco innovation meets sports performance as adidas unveil their forthcoming "Parley for the Oceans" collection which sees products launch made from up-cycled from marine plastic waste.
A tidal way of thinking with a highly sustainable approach, the launch of the latest adidas and Parley for the Oceans collection see's the release of a small range of unique performance products that include special edition shirts for Bayern Munich and Real Madrid as well as the first UltraBOOST Uncaged Parley running shoe.
With both shirts tonal in their aesthetic, these limited edition numbers are no simple statement. They'll be worn on pitch respectively when Bayern Munich face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (Saturday 5 November) and Real Madrid play Real Sporting de Gijón (Saturday 26 November).
Joining the football shirts, the streamlined UltraBOOST Uncaged Parley is the first mass production footwear to be created using Parley Ocean Plastic. The shoes feature a knitted upper made from a mix of Ocean Plastic (95%) and recycled polyester (5%); the rest of the upper – laces, heel cap base material, heel webbing, heel lining and the sock-liner cover – is also made of recycled materials.
The Bayern Munich and Real Madrid jerseys will go on sale from the 4th November and 24th November respectivley. There will be 7,000 pairs of the UltraBOOST Uncaged Parley shoes that are due to drop around mid-November.
