Atlanta Utd 2017 Secondary Kit by adidas

An inaugural "secondary kit" for Atlanta United sees this fresh club pay tribute to the history of its railroad roots with a simple though striking aesthetic. Predominantly white with shades of tonal grey stripes, they've kicked off with foundations that keep things clean though classic all the same.

The grey stripes have been introduced to represent the railroad history of Atlanta while the pops of "Victory Red" breath serious life into a number that will party with the best of them as it makes tracks across the MLS in 2017. This shirt has been designed with lifestyle in mind just as much as on the pitch engineering and while the performance elements are evident, there's a flavour of simple lock ups that shout sophisticated style.

The stripes however, go deep into the story that Atlanta United are looking to present through this shirt. They explain that "in 1837 a spike was driven into Georgia’s red clay, declaring Central Avenue as Zero Milepost for the most significant transportation endeavor to that point for the South — a railroad from Atlanta to the Midwest. Atlanta’s own took it a step further, building the largest railroad hub of the times, connecting five settlements with four different railroad lines all converging at mile post one."

Some description

A solid grey across the back, it is packed with the adidas tech that has been produced to allow for breathability, moisture management and temperature regulation. Adding character to the woven engineering, the neckline sees "ATL UTD" land on the reverse while the sleeves and badge all add seals of solidarity with that punching red. All features that the club have introduced "as a reminder that this city is united". Match ready and popping off on an adventure, March the 3rd is a huge occasion for Atlanta Utd.
