New York City FC become the latest club to show their primary colours ahead of the 2017 MLS season. With a clean sweep of Three Stripes across the entire league, adidas are challenged to be as bespoke as possible for each team and the NYCFC home shirt takes on a smart design.
New York City FC do things with class. One of the coolest cities in the world that boast one of the coolest players in world football in Andrea Pirlo – NYCFC is style, and adidas have kept things clean for the progressive club. Naturally, star players Pirlo and David Villa are roped into launching the 2017 home, or 'primary' jersey as the Americans are calling it. English lad Jack Harrison, who's making quite a name for himself stateside, is also in the mix.
The City blue jersey features the New York City flag, punctuated by the New York City FC monogram on the jersey’s hem. The shirt is accented with navy and orange trims and the colours of the flag, while the neck tape recognises the five distinct boroughs. Roll on the MLS season. First up for NYCFC is away trip to Orlando City on March 5.
