New Balance throw some disruptive replica rhythm into the mix as they launch a limited edition jersey to celebrate 125 years of Liverpool Football Club. The Pitch Black jersey will arrive in limited numbers to headline a wider dark-dressed collection.
The first thing to clear up is that the kit is not a fourth kit for the Reds, and will not be worn on pitch this season. But damn, is it smart. It'll land on September 21 as a limited edition jersey, and one that'll have serious strength off the pitch as New Balance explore the performance/lifestyle cross-over while paying tribute to a landmark year for the club.
The wider collection features blackout Anfield and pocketed tees, as well as a hoody that fall under the cover of darkness, with all the detailing and finishes touches such as the club crest, New Balance logo and sponsor all executed in black. A focus on the customised culture from New Balance with a collection that will no doubt be snapped up quickly, regardless of the lack of on-pitch coverage, which only adds the the desirability.
