You'll do well to find a sharper looking kit in MLS this season that Philadelphia Union's new home shirt. Complete with updated club crest for the upcoming 2018 campaign, the primary jersey is unveiled with a bold design and an even bolder club slogan.
The Union have whipped up a beautifully executed dark blue shirt with faded horizontal stripes, classy gold numbers and matching gold trim. The centre gold panel has been removed for the very first time to create a fresh sense of identity for the club; two shades of navy in a subtle hoop formation bring the aesthetic game up to scratch. Smart.
In addition, the Union’s new badge features a cleaner, simplified design, with a brighter, more vibrant shade of gold used throughout, and one signal blue stripe down the centre. That's how you do a badge redesigned... looking at you Leeds United. The new 2018 home shirt also includes a new snake secondary logo, and the (overly) aggressive club slogan "Join or Die" – a bit of a route one line to explain to potential new signings. It's a decent sponsor away from being oh so stunning.
