Signature season. Adidas deliver Lionel Messi's first exclusive football boot of the 2018/19 season in a solid combination of "White/Black/Blue" on the Barcelona man's self-titled Nemeziz Messi 18.1 silhouette.
Dropping in line with the adidas "Team Mode" pack, the Messi edition of the Nemeziz joins the Predator 18+, X 18+, and Nemeziz 18+ as the first on-pitch collection for all adidas players to kick off the new season in. The difference with the Messi Nemeziz, other than the colourway, is that he always opts against the laceless tech. In fact, little Leo loves his laces so much, he insists on tying them in every single photo.
The full adidas "Team Mode" pack will begin to appear on pitches this week, with all contracted adidas players switching into their new colourways. As for Messi though, he's a bit different – he'll be wearing his own colourway in the laced 18.1 version, with the 17.1 collar – mainly because he's much, much better than everyone else and he can do what he damn well wants. Seems fair.
