Columbus Crew are the latest MLS club to unveil their 2019 colours by launching their new home shirt that features a new take on the club's traditional all-gold look.
The new primary kit features an embossed checkerboard fabric and several nods to the founding MLS member club’s proud history. A unique “Charter Member #01” jock tag recognizes Crew SC’s status as the first club charter awarded in Major League Soccer, while a “heritage shield” commemorating the club’s initial MLS season in 1996 is affixed just above the player names on the back.
It's a simplistic design complemented well by a clean sponsor and crisp detailing. Columbus Crew will wear their new home strip for the first time when they get their MLS season underway on March 2nd when they host New York Red Bulls at the Mapfre Stadium.
