Nike have unveiled a stylised lookbook that showcases the recently released 2019 away jersey of Argentinean side San Lorenzo alongside other fresh Cuervo-inspired replica pieces.
San Lorenzo tend to do things slightly differently to your average club, looking for alternate avenues that will separate them from the rest. Just look at how they introduced the club’s third kit in December. But it’s this approach that gives them an identity that stands them apart from the rest, certainly from Argentina’s other so-called big five at least. Buenos Aires attitude all over.
Nike’s lookbook, which puts the new 2019 away jersey into focus, is yet another example of how the club are embracing jersey culture through a fashion lens to showcase their look. Whilst there was also the obligatory players-in-jersey shots released to mark the launch, this approach embraces the fact that the players are not the only people who will be wearing this shirt.
As well as the away jersey, the collection contains several other pieces such as drill and tracksuit tops, repurposed and placed in the street setting where so many fans will be wearing it. Ground-level grooves for a club that whole-heartedly acknowledges its people and what they represent.
The Nike San Lorenzo 2019 Away Jersey will be available to purchase from 5 March.
