And they keep on coming. Yep, the new MLS season is almost upon us, and San Jose Earthquakes prepare for a new era under head coach Matias Almeyda by launching their new primary “Unity” jersey.

The jersey retains the trademark black-and-blue colouring, but with a new design that features a blue chest and Three Stripes on a core-black base. It also has an “SJ74” jock tag, referencing the original Earthquakes' founding in 1974, and a back neck line that reads “Forward As One” to symbolise the singularity between the club, fanbase and local community. The inside of the neck has a red strip as a nod to the team’s red kits during the North American Soccer League era more than 40 years ago.

The “Unity” jersey will be worn in San Jose’s season opener on 2 March against Montreal Impact, and big things will be expected as they head into their first season under new head coach Matias Almeyda, who was named the 2018 CONCACAF Men’s Coach of the Year. No pressure...
