Geared up for Copa America action, adidas launch the Colombia 2019 home shirt, which features a design inspired by the textures that have embroidered Colombia's history and that have made national products world icons.

James Rodriguez, Juan Cuadrado, Santiago Arias and co. will take to the pitches of Brazil for the 2019 Copa America in the new shirt, but not before 22 March when it will debut in Colombia’s match against Japan. The jersey features the traditional yellow base that is synonymous with Colombia, but a sublimated navy lined graphic adds a new dimension to the appearance, lending it an almost 90s-esque throwback feel.

The graphics are supposedly based on all Colombian embroideries, and the idea behind the design is to give a modern aesthetic to the shirt. The navy of the stripes is also used on the Three Stripes on the shoulders and on the collar trim, while the adidas logo and Colombia logo appear in contrasting red.

The Colombia 2019 home shirt drops alongside the Argentina 2019 home shirt and the Mexico 2019 home shirt, as adidas get its American contingent set for a summer of football.
